I.
Before the game:
1. Pack Bag.
2 Review Schedule.
3. Review time of game and type.
4. Know directions and alternate routes.
5. If you need gas, give yourself plenty of time.
2.Game
Site:
1. Dress Professionally.
2. Report to facility manager;
or A.D.
3. If watching J.V. game, stay removed from coaches and players
of the varsity game.
4.If you are the J.V. official, observe the first half of the varsity game.
Stay removed from coaches and players. Also, make sure you are in street clothes.
5. Pre-Game.
Have a through pre-game with your partner. As the referee get your partner involved. Turn all cell phones off.
3. Game Time:
1. Show energy- Sprint to
all areas. "Home Run" trots appear that you don’t care, not interested, etc.

Give respect to players and coaches and demand respect from players’ coaches.
3. As a crew,
show that you are a team. Communicate with one another.
4. Be polite ; but tactful to players
and coaches.
4. Handling Benches:- Conflict Resolution:
1. Remember, be polite ;but tactful.
2. Don’t use Stop-signs
to Coaches when warning them, it’s confrontational. Instead use two hands at belt level.

When addressing Coaches don’t yell at them or threaten. Also, do not curse at them. An assignor cannot defend these
actions.
5. Do Not use the below items when addressing coaches.
1. "Sit Down and shut up".
2. "You Coach and I will Referee".
6. Use the below items when addressing Coaches.
1. " I will watch it".
2. "I missed it".
3.
" I had a different perspective on it".
4. You can answer yes or no, after a statement.
5. "I hear you".
6. "You are warned".
7. "It was a tough play".
7. Items not
to tolerate. These items should be penalized with a technical foul.
1. Profanity.
2. Questioning your integrity.
3. Insulting remarks.
4. Hand
gestures, such as waves at you.
5. Constant complaining.
Note: Depending
upon the personality of the game, you may warn for the above items as well.
Note: Do not "Put
episodes in your "Back Pocket". Remember every game is a new game.
